The table

Everything here is billed in centimetres. The print on a 100% garment is 34 cm across the chest; the 12% one carries 4 cm on a cuff and nothing on the front, and it is the one the crew wear.

Unit 7 · one press · two people

Everything is printed sixty at a time, four days before the leg.

Water-based ink, not plastisol, so the print sits in the cloth instead of on it and survives a hundred washes without cracking. It also means the second colour has to dry before the third goes down, which is why we print in the week and not the night before.

  • 01Screens burned Monday, 55 mesh for the solids, 90 for the small print
  • 02Acid green down first, flashed at 110 °C for 12 seconds
  • 03Hot pink second, deliberately 2 mm out of register — that is the look, not a mistake
  • 04Cured, counted into 60s, one box a city, loaded as case 15

What we will not print

No all-over prints, because the blanks for them are made badly by people paid badly. No “tour exclusive” that we then sell online in December. No size run that stops at L — if a design cannot be printed to XXL it does not get printed.

We also do not print the support acts' names on our shirts. If you want Siv Halloran's tape, buy it from Siv Halloran at the other end of the table.

Before you buy a shirt by post

How do the sizes run?

Boxy. A medium Bill Tee is 54 cm pit to pit and 72 cm long, and the longsleeve is 2 cm wider everywhere. If you are between sizes take the smaller one; these blanks grow about a centimetre in the first wash.

It sold out — will you restock?

Mid-tour, no — the screens travel in case 15 but the press does not. We reprint between legs, so anything gone in March is back around 8 April. The Bill is an edition of 300 and when it goes it is gone.

What are the blanks?

180 g combed organic cotton for the tees, 220 g for the longsleeve, 380 g brushed-back for the hoodie, all from a mill in northern Portugal we have used since 2019. We will send you the mill name if you ask.

Something arrived wrong

Email office@novaparish.ie with the order number and a photograph. Wrong size or a bad print, we post the right one and you keep the other. Thirty days, no form to fill in, and we pay the return if there is one.

Why is the pink always a bit off?

Because we set the second screen 2 mm off register on purpose. It is how the bills are printed and how the sleeves are printed, and a perfectly registered Nova Parish shirt is a fake.

What does the venue take?

Between 0% and 15%. We will not book a room that asks for more, which has cost us four shows since 2023, two of them in cities we wanted badly. Buying at the table still puts more in the band than buying by post.

Buy it at the table and the band keeps sixty per cent more of it.

Postage, packing and the card fee eat most of the margin on a €32 shirt. At the table it is Saoirse, a float and a card reader, and nothing in between.
